The Complex Director, Food and Beverage position is a senior leadership role that combines strategic planning with operational oversight across two hotel properties. This position reports to the Complex Managing Director and is a member of the Complex Executive Committee. Heres a breakdown of key aspects of the role and ideal candidate qualifications:

Position Summary:

The Director will create and execute a cohesive food and beverage strategy in alignment with brand vision and guest experience goals. Responsible for maintaining high standards across restaurants, bars, and room service, the Director will also drive revenue growth while fostering a collaborative environment that elevates guest satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic Development: Build and implement a food and beverage strategy that aligns with brand identity and hotel business goals, using market insights to make informed decisions. Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations across all outlets, ensuring top-quality service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. Financial Management: Develop and monitor budgets for food and beverage departments, optimize labor deployment, and analyze financial reports to maximize revenue and reduce costs. Leadership and Development: Mentor food and beverage leaders, oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance, and ensure a motivated, cohesive team. Guest and Market Responsiveness: Use guest feedback and market trends to fine-tune offerings and ensure memorable dining experiences. Compliance and Standards: Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards, and implement consistent operational procedures.

Required Experience:

  • Hospitality Leadership: Minimum of 7 years in hospitality management, ideally with 4-diamond hotel experience and at least 2 years at the executive level.
  • Multi-Property or Large Team Management: Proven success in managing diverse outlets and/or properties.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong background in budgeting, cost control, and labor management.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate, lead, and inspire teams.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Directly supervises the Associate Director (s), Food and Beverage and provides guidance to the broader food and beverage management team.
